My inner procastination

Hi Jessica

I have some problems making progress when I am going for the change of my life. I am going for making online courses and have had some succes but my inner dialog and my body wants to run a way when I have to finish the work - when it has to become real. I feels so safe being in the dreamy world but when it is time to realize my dream I feel kind og dissapointed and become sad. Telling my self it is not good enough, maybe it is all wrong and I might as well forget about my dream. I know it is all fear but how do I change this pattern. all the best tine

    Hi Tine,

    Firstly, the achievement of this goal (or any goal, for that matter) does not determine your self-worth. It has nothing to do with your value as a human being or how worthy you are as a person. You are worthy and valuable to have a life of happiness, abundance and success, with or without the achievement of this goal.

    Secondly, when you hear your inner critic beginning to tell you things that don't align with having this goal, ask that little voice to pause for a minute. And then ask yourself if that voice is being kind to you in that moment. If the answer is no, gently give her a mental response that you are worthy and valuable no matter what happens. And let her know that you will not allow her to get the best of you. You have the ability to silence this inner critic with your conscious awareness and repetition/persistence. It may be that the things you hear this inner critic say are not the truth, and sometimes we forget that we can challenge those little critical things that pop into our mind. Ask yourself if what you hear in your mind is true? Or is it an old, learned behavior? These are often just outdated programs that can be dismantled and the work you are doing here and with this course will greatly assist with this.

    And lastly, there is a simple exercise in the "Remapping Your Behavior" section of the course that is entitled: "How to Push Your Creative Machine Past the Habit of Procrastination." I encourage you to try that process to help you with this. It's pretty powerful!
