30, 60 & 90 Meditation

Hello Tribe
Leaders,

 A member of
this group and I discuss mediation and practicing the lessons in the course and
it is my understanding, or this is what I have been practicing.

 My Understanding:

When we are practicing
an exercise from the course to see lasting change from what you are doing or to
anchor the new belief system me must do the practice for  30, 60 or 90 days “CONTINOUS” because some people
would accept these new suggestion at during different periods but all of us
will accept a new change by 90 days. I mean there are other stuff involved like
putting emotion into what you are doing, feel like you already have the good
that you deserve but I am not going to get into that.

So, for me I
have decided to do everything for 90 days and when I forget to do a day, I am
starting over from day one again and this is just me.

Recently I
did a 30 days ice bath at 14 degrees F man I took my ice tub every where with
me just so that I will complete the challenge and I did, and I did it during this
past Christmas holidays and it we a challenge. I do believe that any goal that
is lightly set will be easily abandoned. I know I am off topic here lol just
shearing my experience.

I am going
to guess here but I feel that some of us, “I am including myself here as well” are
not getting results because we are not putting in the work necessary to see the
results and then we give up and move on to another teacher doing the same thing
getting the same results.

 To my fearless
leaders what is you all take on the continuous practices for 30, 60, and 90 days?

And when we miss
a day should we start back from day one?

With
Gratitude,

Russel

  • Well Russel I am a simple lady. I like things to be simple. I seem to have much more success with simplicity. Subconscious beliefs that we are wanting to reprogram create habits. Habits create behaviors. Habits are found in an area of the brain called the basal ganglia. Ultimately, we are practicing rewiring the brain. That requires commitment first and consistency and patience second. Research has reported that a new program (or habit) sticks on average within 66 days. However, individual times vary from 18 to 254 days. I personally practice with the mindset of "one day at a time" and for a lifetime. I desire my practices to become a way of life. As long as we are in our flesh suits (cellular structures) I believe we will always be growing and discovering new aspects of our programing that are disempowering. I'm never done, I can't get it wrong, and I need to have fun in the process. I start over each and every morning. When I am imperfect at my practice, I practice more. Mostly, I practice loving myself right where I am in the process. My only rule is "Don't ever give up!" I hope this helps.♥️
  • Good morning Shelia,

    I appreciate
your response and even though I do a lot every day I understand being happy and
contended is very important. And every day I find a reason to smile and I have
    been
    deliberately looking for ways to
smile even if I must do what Jessica have suggested look at funny videos. At
times I would look at got talent to smile and for inspiration to see if others have
been able to do it so can me.

    I also remember
Jessica saying that she has done meditation for one year.

    With Gratitude,

    Russel

  • The question is what would work all the time?

    Russel
  • Good morning, Russel!

Once again, Shelia gave a wonderful response! I'll add to that here.

This is a great question because you are right in the fact that results come when you put in the work and stick with the processes. That is absolutely crucial. A new habit is what you are creating. And that will turn into a way of living and way of experiencing life. So, you're looking for that shift.

Yes, I have meditated for years! I believe meditation has been the one thing that has made the most positive impact on my own life. However, I also have a dislike for the word "should" when it comes to practices such as these. My golden rule regarding this is: If it feels like a chore, don't do it!

When we are forcing ourselves to do something such as meditation in order to see results, we are coming from a place of resistance. "Forcing" creates the opposite of what we want, whereas "flowing," as Shelia pointed out, keeps us in a place of ease.

So, if you find yourself not wanting to engage in a particular meditation, you could engage in something else that inspires you more in that moment. For example, writing out a detailed version of your goals. Or, repeating affirmations that make you feel in alignment with what you are creating. Or, even watching funny videos. :)

Yes, you want to create the habit and remain steady, but also enjoy your current life and the journey itself. :)

  • So basically, you are saying that I am to tough? I am
playing to win I don’t care really what you ask me to do basically ill do anything. If you only knew!!!!!

    I want to win!!!

  • Hey Russel!

You are winning my friend! The fact that you are taking consistent daily action towards reprogramming your mind is winning! It's a process of daily practices that help you shift. It isn't a one size fits all. So yes taking consistent action is KEY but the action may vary... meditation, gratitude, affirmations, etc.. so many beautiful different techniques to help you reprogram your mind. Do what feels easy and natural to you. We all will find what is the better fit for us and that is all we will ever need. I totally agree with Jessica and Shelia- as long as you are staying consistent and persistent with you evolving - you are WINNING. It's a lifestyle, not a strategy. You will definitely feel results because you are changing your beliefs therefore your possibilities and therefore your experiences in your life. You are doing great my friend! :)
